The Westcotts // In Home Session

The Westcotts: Ashley, Darrell, Charli, and Reagan. (Oh, and we don’t want to leave out the cat, two dogs, or the gold fish.) We’ve photographed them previously and it didn’t feel like they were missing anything, yet somehow they still seem more complete with their newest addition. They welcomed us into their home on a Sunday evening a mere 9 days after Reagan made her debut into the world. Although we were assured she would likely sleep through the whole session, she surprised us all with wide eyes and a couple cries. Even so, she was a dreamboat and a joy to photograph. She’s such a compact vessel of cuteness and unimaginable potential. And with a spirited older sister like Charli, we’re sure she’ll be realizing her full potential to make all the best kinds of trouble. Whenever I spend time with babies, I am struck by their innocence. I am struck by their emptiness. They are vessels, which can be filled with the best or the worst. All the heroes of the world started as babies, but so have all the villains. That’s why good parents are so important. We aren’t worried about Reagan or Charli though, because we know they are in good hands. Here’s to Ashley and Darrell and the other amazing parents out there working diligently to raise caring, thoughtful, human beings. Oh, and they are all stinking cute, so enjoy their in home session!
