Cassandra & Stewart // The Starr Wedding
These two high school sweethearts got married in their hometown surrounded by the friends and family that helped make their day possible. If you’re reading this and you’re from a small town, then you already know how people come together in times of crisis and times of celebration. It’s one of the (few) things we think is both wonderful and unique to small town living. Even more, it was a special wedding for us, as we grew up in that small town and went to that same high school as Cassandra and Stewart. We were able to catch up with some old friend and we felt more at home than usual. I (Heather) lived down the road from the best man, I played softball or basketball with three of the bridesmaids, and went to school with an additional three members of the bridal party. As a result, the day ended with far more goodbyes and hugs than our average wedding and we are grateful for that. We are always honored when people choose and trust us to capture such an important day in their lives (we have yet to get over how monumental it seems), but we are especially honored when people we know do. It seems kind of backwards when we think about it, to feel more when the people who already know us trust us, but it’s the way we feel. It’s kind of like when people get to know you really well and start to see you on your bad days, but they still want to hang out and be around you, and it’s really surprising at first. Cassandra and Stewart knew us as our high school selves and they still chose us and we’re so happy they did! Both their photo gallery and highlight video are completed and we couldn’t wait to share them with you! Enjoy and let us know what you think!
