Tara & Cody // 1st Anniversary Session

Tara and Cody are family, which means we have photographed them repeatedly throughout their relationship. They trusted us to take their engagement photos in 2016 when we were still fresh on the scene and we have been taking photos of them ever since! We covered Tara’s graduation, portraits of their fur babies, and recently their holiday session, amongst others. However, on their wedding day in 2017, since we were both in the bridal party, we were only able to sneak in a couple photos and we were disappointed that we couldn’t take more. Although we will admit, we still love attending weddings as guests, because we (mostly me, aka Heather) love to dance! When we are covering weddings as either the photographers or videographers, Alan always gives me a look when he sees me start to move with the music. His eyes seem to say, “Heather, don’t you dare!” If you’ve seen my dancing, you’ll have a clue as to why that’s what his eyes tell me. If you haven’t, then you’re missing out on some laughs. Don’t worry though, depending on the couple, how packed we are for time, and the vibe of the wedding, I still dance between photos or videos. Anyhow, because we didn’t get to take that many photos at their wedding, we were ecstatic to be able to do an anniversary session with them! This session was so much fun, even though we woke up at 4am to capture it. The scenery was beautiful and the peaceful stroll was nice. Of course we laughed all morning and most importantly, the pictures are stunning! Check them out for yourself and let us know what you think! (Pssst.
